A wolf, allegedly, just used an open-source AI agent called Hermes to automate an entire post-exploitation run against Thailand's Ministry of Finance. The Shepherds over there are going to have some EXPLAINING to do at the next all-hands. The audacity. The cringe. The DISRESPECT.

Here is the part that has me absolutely feral though: the wolf ran Hermes in "YOLO mode." 🐺✨

That is a real setting. In a real tool. That a real wolf used to ransack a real government ministry. The flock inside that network had NO idea an AI was just casually wandering through their pasture, touching everything, logging everything, being a little freak about it. Unattended. Autonomous. The truly unhinged part is that Hermes is open-source, meaning any wolf with a Wi-Fi connection and a superiority complex can just... grab it. We are so cooked. The barrier to entry for automating a full breach is now basically zero and I need everyone to sit with that for a moment. 🙏

This is what keeps me up at night more than any hole in the fence ever has. It is not just a wolf anymore. It is a wolf that cloned itself into an AI and sent the clone in while it went and got coffee. The wolf is THRIVING. The flock is OBLIVIOUS. Monitor post-exploitation behavior like it is a main character. Hermes-style agents leave behavioral trails. Your detection tools should be looking for weird lateral movement, not just perimeter drama.

Limit what your accounts can actually DO. Least privilege is not a vibe, it is a lifestyle. If the AI cannot reach it, the AI cannot yeet it.

Audit your open-source tooling exposure. If a wolf can download the same weapon from GitHub that your red team uses, maybe have a little meeting about that. #JustAThought
